West County is an encompassing term for many of St. Louis’s suburban neighborhoods, including Chesterfield, Clarkson Valley, Des Peres, Town and Country, Wildwood, Ellisville, Ballwin, Manchester, Twin Oaks, and more.

As St. Louis’ population continued to grow west of the great Mississippi River, people settled further and further west searching for more land and the prospect of distance from city life. The history of West County dates back to the founding of the city of Ballwin in 1837, which has grown from a small town to a city of over 32,000 residents.

First-time homebuyers can establish roots in the low 200s, while others can brag expansive estates with extensive acreage in with multi-million dollar investments. The opportunities are as plentiful as the area is expansive.
